Mingling with celebs at Fashion Awards Night

TV presenter and art collector Anne Davies invited me to the East Midlands Fashion Awards 2018.  Anne and co-host fashion expert Patrick Grant joined us to watch paralympian Richard Whitehead and BBC’s Lucy Martin take to the catwalk amongst the professional models. I bumped into a few famous faces!
An atmospheric backdrop of theatrical lighting took place in the magnificent setting of St.Mary’s Church, Nottingham, an excellent venue to convey the amazing talent of our Universities.  Money raised was donated to Rainbows Hospice.

VIPs: artist Peter Welton & the sale of my first Limited Edition print!

I'm a big fan of Peter Welton, not just of the quality of his work but also of his work ethic and numerous achievements. He's what I'd like to be, a real professional artist! So it was great to have him drop into my West End Gallery exhibition and show his support. Thank you Peter!

Here's someone else who's really important, the lovely lady who purchased my first Limited Edition print of 'A Right Royal Street Party', Cherry Stevenson, with 7-year old granddaughter, Mae Stevenson.

All that Jazz - with Clare Teal in Concert

Clare Teal in concert, Leicester 14.4.
My agent's a big jazz fan. Her health not being up to attending award-winning singer Clare Teal's Leicester concert last night, Max & I were asked if we'd like to go along instead.
We were glad we did; although we know little of her work, Clare did justice to every song. She's very funny and her band was wonderful! I particularly enjoyed her version of Snow Patrol's 'Chasing Cars'.
Don't think I'll ever be a jazz fan (with the possible exception of Billie Holiday) but hearing music being played & sung as well as this is something special.
